Prashant is co-founder and CEO of 1mg, India’s largest digital health platform with over 18 million app downloads and 160 million monthly page views.
Prashant is widely recognized as a visionary healthcare entrepreneur who strongly believes in Healthcare being a fundamental right and in putting patients at the center of their healthcare universe. He’s been recognized for his work by Unreasonable Goals Program, (targeted at helping solve the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals-SDG#3 Health and Wellbeing for all by 2030), by Economic Times 40 under 40, AsiaOne - India’s 40 most influential Indians under 40 and by several other organizations. Prashant also helms DHP (Digital Health Platforms) – an association of India’s top e-health companies as their first President, Chairs the FICCI sub-committee on ePharmacy and is also the co-chair for Digital Health at IAMAI. He is also a key influencer in Niti Aayog’s (Government of India Initiative) Champions of Change programme.
Under his leadership, 1mg has disrupted the standard model of healthcare delivery and grown to operate India’s largest online pharmacy and diagnostic platforms and one of the largest online consultation platforms – thus making healthcare accessible, affordable and understandable for millions of Indians.
Prior to 1mg, Prashant was the Co-founder & Managing Director of HealthKart.com, India's #1 Nutrition e-Commerce company. Till 2009, before he returned to India, Prashant worked at McKinsey & Company in San Francisco where he focused on the healthcare sector. He started his career with the Business Leadership Program at Hindustan Unilever India, where he worked in roles spanning Innovation, Product Development and Operations.
Prashant is an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a graduate from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
